The services currently provided by Des Rogers under pepperedBLACK® Ndundarinj include mentoring for Aboriginal people, sub-consultancy, public speaking and facilitation. Mentoring is offered pro bono and recompensed by the other services.

Mentoring

Des Rogers shares his commercial, public and personal life experience with Aboriginal people who are seeking assistance with business ventures or confidence boosting advice about serving on boards or entering public office. He acts as a connection between community and the commercial world. Des brings the best of his extensive experience in private business - having employed and trained over 200 Aboriginal people through previous enterprises - and participation on boards, together with his leadership skills, to offer a mentor service to Aboriginal people on a pro bono basis.

Public Speaking

An experienced and engaging speaker, Des Rogers has a unique way of conducting presentations. Steering away from mundane written powerpoint presentations he explains photographs, illustrations and uses other props. He has a uniquely Central Australian and Aboriginal perspective. With a natural stage presence, relaxed honesty and ability to engage, Des can transform any audience into active listeners. His peers have expressed apprehension about presenting after him and filling the big boots he has left behind!

Consultation and Facilitation

Offering a distinctly Indigenous perspective Des Rogers can be contracted to establish dialogue and open channels of understanding between Government Departments, Agencies and Aboriginal Communities. He does this in the pursuit of better communication, understanding and collaboration that results in inclusive solutions and sustainable agreements.
